Sean is the CEO of Simple Earth Media and the founder of Green Living Ideas and Blue Living Ideas, as well as being the host of the popular GreenTalk Radio podcast. He is a San Francisco Bay Area entrepreneur and internationally-recognized expert on technology publishing and enterprise information technologies.

Prior to Simple Earth Media, he founded and served as CEO at Realtimepublishers.com, a leading web-based publisher of books, community portals, videos, and other media in the health/lifestyle and technology industries, wrote for 8 years as a Senior Contributing Editor at Penton Media’s Windows IT Pro Magazine, and author of several technology books, including The Definitive Guide™ to Windows 2000 Administration, The Definitive Guide™ to Active Directory Troubleshooting (Realtime Publishers), and Optimizing Windows NT® (Wiley/Hungry Minds).

Adam Shake

Adam Shake is the Editor-in-Chief of Simple Earth Media and founded Twilight Earth and EcoTech Daily. He is an environmental writer, advocate, entrepreneur, speaker and Washington DC-based activist. Of his accomplishments, he is most proud of having risked arrest at dirty coal powered power plants and the work he has done to raise money for homeless kitchens and environmental non-profits. He spent over a decade in the U.S. Army and has worked with Homeland Security and the Defense Industry. When not working on Pennsylvania Avenue, he can be found in the woods with his wife and Rhodesian Ridgeback, kayaking, sailing or on the Appalachian Trail. Adam is a member of the Society of Environmental Journalists, and an active participant in a number of environmental and social media clubs and organizations.

Derek Markham

Derek is the founder and editor of Natural Papa and a lead writer for Simple Earth Media. He is into single-speed bicycles, simple living, organic gardening, sustainable lifestyle design, slacklining, bouldering, and baking with sourdough.

He says “I love good food; Colorado peaches are my all-time favorite. I really enjoy conversations with three year olds. I love being in the wilderness with my family; it feels like home. I love positive thinking and big audacious dreams. I like to skip rope, and yes, I do have a tiny rubber chicken (vegan) that lives with my flash drive.

David Quilty

David is the lead writer for EcoTech Daily, founder and publisher of The Good Human and is an advocate for the environment, progressive politics, sustainability, and the less fortunate. After 11 years working in the film & television industry, 4 years ago David chose a different path and turned his passion for the environment into a career as a publisher and writer.

Between protesting wars, raising money for non-profits, and writing daily articles for several websites, he can be found hiking in the mountains of New Mexico & Colorado, building homemade solar gadgets, and volunteering at the local animal shelter. David is a member of the NRDC and is dedicated to trying to help people live cleaner, greener lives in a positive manner without guilting them into action.

Jennifer Lance

Jennifer lives on 160 acres off-the-grid in a home built with her own two hands (and several more skilled pairs of hands) from forest fire salvaged timber. Her home is powered by a micro-hydro turbine, and she has been a vegetarian for 21 years. Jennifer graduated from Humboldt State University with a degree in art education and has been teaching art to children for over 16 years. She also spent five years teaching in a one-room schoolhouse before becoming the mother of two beautiful children. Jennifer has a Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education and is currently teaching preschool, as well as k-8 art. She enjoys writing, gardening, hiking, practicing yoga, and raising four akitas. Jennifer is the founder and editor of Eco Child’s Play.
